It is generally known that Real Madrid have lifted the Champions League trophy more frequently than any other team, a record 15 times, with AC Milan coming in second with seven victories and Liverpool following closely with six.

Who players have won the most Champions League titles, despite Los Blancos being by far the most decorated team in Europe? Here are some honourable mentions before the full list of players with the most UEFA Champions League titles in history.

Karim Benzema: 5 (2014, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2022)

Throughout the bulk of the campaign, Karim Benzema has served as Real Madrid’s interim captain and has shown leadership in every game. This season’s Champions League knockout rounds saw the Frenchman record back-to-back hat tricks, making him the oldest player ever to do it. He has been in all five finals and won the championship five times.

Bale moved to Real Madrid in 2013 for an unknown sum that was later determined to be a record-breaking £85.1 million (€100.8 million) transfer price. Bale contributed to the club’s five Champions League victories by becoming a member of the succeeding three known as the BBC with Karim Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo.
